System and cloud administrators with experience in operating systems, networking, servers and virtualization, who use the Azure portal, PowerShell, Azure CLI and ARM or Bicep templates in their daily work.
The most effective way to prepare for AZ-104 is to alternate official documentation, hands-on work in Azure and practice tests by domain. Start by measuring your level across identity, storage, compute, networking and monitoring, then focus on the domains where you make the most mistakes.
Do not memorize isolated answers. The exam presents administration decisions where several options seem possible, but only one meets every security, cost or operational requirement. After each question, review why one answer is correct and why the others fail.
You need to be comfortable with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy, storage accounts, virtual machines, virtual networks, load balancing, backup and Azure Monitor. You should also recognize when to use the portal, Azure CLI, PowerShell or infrastructure templates.
The difficulty of AZ-104 lies in connecting services. A networking question may depend on DNS and NSGs; a storage question may require a managed identity and access control. Practicing by category builds the foundation and mock exams check whether you can apply everything under time pressure.
If you already administer Azure, plan four to six weeks. Starting with little experience, reserve eight to twelve and include your own labs. Cover the syllabus by domain in the first half; in the second, review errors and take full mock exams until your scores are stable.

CertifyDeck is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft. AZ-104 and its related marks belong to their respective owner.
It is an associate-level exam that requires understanding how several Azure services are administered together. It becomes manageable when you combine study with hands-on practice.
An experienced administrator may need four to six weeks; someone starting out usually needs eight to twelve. Your starting point matters more than a fixed number.
Yes. CertifyDeck lets you start for free, with no card, and shows explanations so you can review the concepts.
No. Mock exams train decisions and time management, while labs consolidate real use of the portal, CLI and PowerShell. Combine both.
Microsoft uses a scaled score with 700 as the passing mark. Always confirm the current criteria on the official exam page before you sit it.
Microsoft sets the price per country. USD 165 list price (varies by country; confirm on Pearson VUE when booking). CertifyDeck does not sell the exam, only the preparation: you can start for free and full access is a one-off fee per certification.
Microsoft does not publish an exact number; its exams usually have between 40 and 60 questions and AZ-104 gives you 100 minutes. Our timed mock exam mirrors that length and the official domain weights.
Yes. Microsoft offers AZ-104 in Spanish as well as English. On CertifyDeck every question, option and explanation is available in both languages, keeping the official English terminology.
It is a good free starting point, but it is short and repeats the same items. A practice test with hundreds of original Azure Administrator questions, timed mock exams and practice by domain tells you where you fail and whether you keep the level under time pressure.
No. Dumps are leaked exam questions: using them breaks Microsoft's exam agreement and can void your certification. Our questions are original, written from the official skills outline, and train you to reason through new scenarios instead of memorizing answers.
