Built for business, sales and management roles and anyone who works with technical teams and wants to understand Google Cloud. No prerequisites.
Cloud Digital Leader is Google Cloud's foundational certification, built for business, sales and management roles that work with technical teams. It checks that you understand what the cloud brings to an organization and which Google Cloud product fits each situation; it never asks you to code or configure anything.
The official guide has six sections of similar weight (16-17% each): digital transformation with Google Cloud, data transformation, innovating with artificial intelligence, modernizing infrastructure and applications, trust and security, and scaling with Google Cloud operations.
Concepts: public, private, hybrid and multicloud; CapEx versus OpEx and total cost of ownership; IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and the shared responsibility model; the value of data and the difference between structured and unstructured data; machine learning approaches and what generative AI is.
Products: BigQuery, Looker, Cloud SQL, Spanner, Bigtable, Firestore, Cloud Storage and Pub/Sub; Vertex AI, Gemini, Document AI and the vision, speech and language APIs; Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine and Apigee; Cloud Interconnect and VPN; Cloud Identity, IAM, Cloud Armor and Security Command Center; Cloud Billing with budgets and alerts, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging and service level objectives.
Without a technical background, two to three weeks is usually enough following the official Cloud Digital Leader learning path on Google Cloud Skills Boost. Pay attention to current product names, because Google has renamed several and the exam uses the current ones.
Start free to measure your level and practice by section. CertifyDeck questions follow the exam format: single choice with four options and, occasionally, multiple select with two correct answers, always with a business scenario.
