DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) validates that you can design, build and maintain analytics assets in Microsoft Fabric: access controls and sensitivity labels, version control and deployment pipelines, connecting and ingesting data, transforming it in lakehouses and warehouses with star schemas, querying with SQL, KQL and DAX, and optimised semantic models, including Direct Lake. Skills outline in force since 19 October 2026.

Analytics engineers, advanced data analysts and Power BI professionals who prepare and model data in Microsoft Fabric and are fluent in SQL, KQL and DAX.
DP-600 (Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) checks that you can design, build and maintain analytics assets in Microsoft Fabric: lakehouses, warehouses, eventhouses, dataflows and semantic models, and query them with SQL, KQL and DAX.
The outline in force since 19 October 2026 has three areas: maintain a data analytics solution (25–30%), prepare data (45–50%) and implement and manage semantic models (25–30%).
Maintenance: workspace roles and item permissions, row-, column-, object- and file-level security, sensitivity labels, endorsement, Git integration, Power BI projects (.pbip), deployment pipelines, impact analysis and the XMLA endpoint.
Data: connections, OneLake catalog and Real-Time hub, choosing a data store, star schemas, denormalisation, aggregations, handling duplicates and nulls, and querying with the visual editor, SQL, KQL and DAX. Models: storage modes, relationships and bridge tables, DAX with variables, iterators and windowing functions, calculation groups, field parameters, composite models, Direct Lake (OneLake versus SQL analytics endpoint) and incremental refresh.
If you come from Power BI, what is new is Fabric itself: OneLake, lakehouse versus warehouse, KQL and Direct Lake. If you studied with material from before 19 October 2026, review the new objectives (OneLake catalog, Real-Time hub, impact analysis, Direct Lake on OneLake).

The areas are reorganised and new objectives come in: discovering data with OneLake catalog and Real-Time hub, OneLake integration for Eventhouse and semantic models, impact analysis of dependencies, choosing between Direct Lake on OneLake and Direct Lake on SQL analytics endpoint, and large semantic model storage format. Our bank already follows the new outline.
It lasts 100 minutes and, as with other Microsoft exams, the exact number of questions is not published: usually between 40 and 60, including case studies. Our mock exam uses 50 questions in 100 minutes.
You pass with 700 points out of 1,000.
The fee depends on the country; in the United States it is USD 165. CertifyDeck does not sell the exam, only the preparation: you can start for free and full access is a one-off fee.

Yes. Microsoft offers DP-600 in Spanish as well as English. On CertifyDeck every question, option and explanation is available in both languages, keeping the official English terminology.
It is a good free starting point, but it is short and repeats the same items. A practice test with hundreds of original Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate questions, timed mock exams and practice by domain tells you where you fail and whether you keep the level under time pressure.
