Google Cloud
Professional Agentic Architect is the Google Cloud professional certification for people who design and manage autonomous agentic workflows with reliability, performance, cost, security and scalability in mind. It validates that you can build agents with low-code tools (Gemini Enterprise Workflow Builder (formerly Agent Designer) and CX Agent Studio), use and customize coding agents (Antigravity, Agents CLI, MCP servers), develop custom agents with ADK, memory, RAG, Agent Registry and the MCP and A2A protocols, evaluate and deploy them on Agent Runtime, Cloud Run or GKE, and secure and govern them with Agent Identity, Agent Gateway and Model Armor. It is a hybrid certification: a multiple choice exam plus hands-on labs in Google Skills. We follow the beta exam guide, read on 2 November 2026, and will review the bank when Google publishes the GA guide.

You are refining a prompt in Agent Studio for an agent that decides whether expense claims follow company policy. Each few-shot example shows a JSON verdict followed by the step-by-step reasoning behind it, and the model's verdicts often contradict its own reasoning. What should you change?

Developers, cloud architects and engineers with hands-on experience with LLMs, agent design patterns, coding and data integration on Google Cloud. Google recommends 3+ years of hands-on experience building, testing, deploying and managing cloud solutions, including 1+ years building agentic solutions on Google Cloud. No prerequisites.
Professional Agentic Architect is the Google Cloud professional certification for people who design and manage autonomous agentic workflows with reliability, performance, cost, security and scalability in mind. It is a hybrid certification: first a proctored multiple choice exam on concepts, system design choices and architectural standards and, if you pass it, hands-on labs in Google Skills that validate your execution and coding ability. You must pass both parts. The beta closed in September 2026 and the GA exam launches in mid-November 2026.
We follow the beta outline of the official exam guide, which has five sections: building agents using low-code tools (13%), using coding agents for application development (17%), developing custom agents (33%), evaluating and deploying agentic workflows (22%), and securing and governing agentic workflows (15%). We will review the bank when Google publishes the GA exam guide.
Building: state-based workflows, system instructions and prompt templates in Gemini Enterprise Workflow Builder (formerly Agent Designer) and CX Agent Studio; connecting enterprise data with Agent Search and processing multimodal data; configuring coding agents such as Antigravity with MCP servers, skills, hooks, rules and subagents, in secure sandboxes (GKE, Cloud Workstations) and with Agents CLI. Custom agents weigh the most: choosing the model (LLM or SLM, self-hosted or SaaS, open source or proprietary), ADK, sessions and Memory Bank, RAG pipelines with Vector Search, Agent Retrieval and RAG Engine, Agent Registry, Google Cloud MCP Servers, and orchestration with MCP and A2A (parallel, sequential and graph workflows).
Operations and security: test sets and golden datasets, continuous evaluation with ADK evaluation tooling, the Agent Platform GenAI evaluation service and custom autoraters; choosing between Agent Runtime, Cloud Run and GKE; troubleshooting drift, tool invocation latency, reasoning loops and hallucinations with Cloud Logging and Cloud Trace. Plus OAuth 2.0 with Auth Manager, principal access boundary policies with Agent Identity, Agent Gateway, Model Armor, Sensitive Data Protection and human-in-the-loop.
Google recommends 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud solutions, including 1+ years building agentic solutions on Google Cloud. With that background, six to eight weeks are usually enough: read the official exam guide, follow the Google Skills learning path, and build an ADK agent that uses RAG, an MCP server and a second agent over A2A, then evaluate it and deploy it to Agent Runtime. Note that CertifyDeck prepares the multiple choice exam; it does not cover the Google Skills hands-on labs.

The GA exam lasts 2 hours, the standard Google Cloud professional exam format. Google has not yet published the GA question count; the 3-hour beta had about 80 multiple choice questions. Our mock exam uses 50 questions in 120 minutes.
Google does not publish the passing score: you get a pass or fail result, and for the GA exam the official result arrives in 7 to 10 business days. Besides the exam, you must also pass the hands-on labs.
200 USD plus tax where applicable, the standard Google Cloud professional exam price (the beta cost 120 USD). CertifyDeck does not sell the exam, only the preparation: you can start free and full access is a one-time payment.
English. On CertifyDeck every question and explanation is available in English and Spanish.
There are no prerequisites; Google recommends 3+ years of hands-on cloud experience, including 1+ years building agentic solutions on Google Cloud. If you pass the exam, you get access in CM Connect to a distinct set of labs in Google Skills and have two months to complete them. Those labs are not part of CertifyDeck.
One year, compared with two years for the other Google Cloud professional certifications, because these tools change so fast. Google says there will be a continuous education path to keep it active.
It may. Our bank follows the beta outline, read on 2 November 2026, and the GA exam launches in mid-November 2026. When Google publishes the GA exam guide, we will review the bank and update it.
